Project Details

The Legit App is an interactive platform for Latin enthusiasts to read texts in Latin while gaining immediate access to vocabulary. The app is designed to make reading Latin more accessible and engaging, particularly for students and self-learners.

Features

1. Interactive Texts

• Users can click on Latin words to instantly view their vocabulary and meanings.
• Designed to support both beginners and advanced readers.

2. Upload and Translation (Work In Progress)

• Future updates will allow users to upload their own Latin texts and translations.
• Enables community-driven content sharing and collaborative learning.

3. Modern UI

This project was developed using Next.js with the App Router, Tailwind CSS for responsive and modern UI design, and Firebase for user authentication and real-time database management. Markdown files are used to manage content dynamically.

The app aims to bring the richness of Latin literature to a wider audience by providing intuitive tools for reading and understanding texts. By integrating translation and upload features, the app will serve as a collaborative platform for Latin learners and educators.
